Organizing for Africa has created committees within each chapter to ensure that every member finds their passion so they can become meaningfully involved in fulfilling the goals & objectives of organizing for africa!

We currently have 4 committees which new members can join:

Community & International Service Committee

• drivers of finding those needing real change!

• identifies community service theme and priorities for the year

• establishes strategic relationships with charities in need

• evaluates & prioritizes needs in our communities

• develops plans for the club’s annual community service project

• organizes and facilitates club’s international community service project

• manages member volunteer participation

• valuates project successes and writes community service reports

Sponsorship & Fundraising

• the moneymakers!!!

• look for opportunities where club can raise money from stand-alone events to movie premiers to ushering

• lead fundraising initiatives quarterly & major ones annually

• potential sponsors aligned with value proposition & target member base

• exceptional written and verbal presentation skills

• securing sponsorship deals in line with fundraising needs

• developing creative win-win solutions to exceed the expectations of sponsors

• accounting for all incoming finances in conjunction with treasurer

Professional & Leadership Development Committee

• drive the whats-in-it-for-me factor (win-win)

• establishes development needs of club members

• creates development plans for members

• networks with potential facilitators & motivational speakers

• plans key quarterly professional & leadership development activities for members

• manages talks, workshops, peer learning groups & key note speaker programmes

• looks out for seta sponsored development events free of charge

• for new way to bring in potential members to club

Membership Services

• develop strategies for membership acquisition & retention

• manages induction programs for new members

• ;members assigned a sub-committee in desired area of participation

• manages online profiles & social networking tools

• writes and distributes club newsletters
